On Wednesday 28 April, a few of the Novigi team were lucky enough to attend the annual Illawarra First Women in Executive Leadership Forum luncheon held by Business Illawarra and proudly sponsored by Mercer. We heard from two inspiring women, who have been successful in their careers and excellent mentors for women who hold, or aspire to hold, executive leadership positions. This article summarises our take on the event and Novigi’s perspective on women in leadership positions.
The women of Novigi sat down to discuss their experience of gender equality, the barriers they have faced and what they choose to challenge. The International Women’s Day campaign for 2021 is ‘Choose to Challenge’ and the UN International Women’s Day theme is women in leadership. We are proud of the women that work at Novigi and will endeavour to support them in every possible way as the company continues to grow.
Many women experience unequal treatment or disadvantages in the workplace which lead to challenges in their later life stages. Women have been a large focus in the industries in which we work — namely superannuation, aged care and community services — during recent times. Novigi is committed to improving the lives of all people, including women, that access these services.
